The falls on Lynn Camp Prong are some of the most stunning water compositions in the Great Smoky Mountains. Look closely and you will see the swimming trout. A nuthatch observes from a rhododendron branch. Sketching and painting on location was all the inspiration needed to create Mountain Music.

After years of painting, I am still enchanted with snow scenes. The distinct contrast between the white paper and winter’s gorgeous earth tones is enough to make any heart dance. Also, it’s not always what’s put into a snow scene that makes it work, but rather what is left out. In “Grey Birch and Hemlock”, I left out my footprints. G. Webb
